Hamilton pool is a natural pool that was created when the dome of an underground river collapsed due to massive erosion thousands of years ago. It is located about 23 miles west of Austin. Hamilton pool is a jade green pool into which a 50-foot waterfall flows. That is if you go on a good day. The pool was not looking its best when we were there and the waterfall was just a small little trickle. But it was still a pretty place. Carson loved going on the hike. I have included pictures that I took and pictures that I found on the Internet. So you can really see the beauty of Hamilton pool.
