Davis turns TWO!!

Our nephew Davis turned two on September 20th! He had a sports themed birthday party.

Singing Happy Birthday and blowing out his candle.

Davis and best friend Truman. Little sister Andy.

Uncle Justin and Davis. Aunt Jill and Andy.

Justin and Davis playing and singing. Too cute!

GoTech!!

Our first Texas Tech football game to go to was against SMU. Tech won 43 to 7!! Justin and I met Josh and Diane in Lubbock. Instead of sitting in our normal seats, we got to sit in box seats. It was great! Free food, shade, and close bathrooms. It will be hard to go back to our regular seats. We will not make it to as many Red Raider games as usual but we definitely have a good reason. I am sure that one day Carson will be celebrating his birthday at a Tech football game.

Grandparents

My mom and dad came in town Labor Day weekend. It was great to see them. Mary and I worked on baby stuff all weekend of coarse and we loved every moment of it. Earl's knee is finally feeling good after having knee replacement surgery in June. We are all very thankful. He loves to come in town to play with Deets and Champ.

This weekend Justin and I were in Midland and it was nice not having anything that we just had to do. Doug and Prinny (Justin's dad and step-mother) came by to see Carson's room and they loved it. It was good to visiting with them. Justin went hunting and I did some school work. School is slowly getting better. I sometimes wish I did not care as much as I do about teaching and doing a good job. It would make my life easier if I could just go with the flow but I want everything perfect.

This Tuesday Justin's mother, Nancy is having major back surgery. She cannot wait! She has been in quite a bit of pain for some time now. She wants to feel great by the time Carson arrives. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Back to School

School started on Monday. I wish I could say that it is going great, but it has been a very frustrating week. But I know I will get through it. I just keep reminding myself that I only have to make it until mid-November and then Carson will be here. I will be going back to teaching in mid-January. Then summer will be around the corner! I went to the doctor today and everything is looking perfect. Carson will be here before we know it!!

Ellen & Jared Come to Visit!

Justin and I had a great weekend with Ellen and Jared. Of course it had to rain all weekend. So there was no laying out or playing golf but we still had a good time. We went to Truman's birthday party, did a little shopping, and went bowling. We cannot wait for them to come back to Midland!

26 Week Sonogram

Carson is doing great!! He is measuring right at 26 weeks and weighs about 2 pounds. Justin and I love seeing him. I am lucky and get to feel him moving all of the time. Even at 3:30am while I am trying to sleep. He is already keeping me up at night. It is just the neatest feeling!! Justin left today for Michigan. Justin, his brother, and dad are going to the PGA tournament. He was very excited.
Carson's handsome profile!
The arrow at the top of the photo is pointing to Carson's nose. If you look closely you can see his nostrils. Below his nose you can see his cute lips. (If you click on the picture it will get larger.)

The Mom-Mobile!!

Justin and I have been going back and forth on what kind of vehicle we should get before Carson arrives. We finally decided on a Suburban! It is big but we can fit everyone and everything. Justin went all out. It is really too nice for me to be driving but I love it! Justin said that I will be driving it forever. Buying a new car is never very fun. But we have had a good time figuring out all that it can do.
